This edition of the Long Night of Museums, "The Sounds of Berlin", sparks questions on how this exhibition resounded throughout Berlin. What was heard from this exhibition and how do the different geographical and ideological contexts connect to the struggles outlined in O Quilombismo in current-day Berlin? Amal Alhaag and André Pitol, co-curators of the School of Quilombismo, exchange ideas, experiences, and observations with HKW curators Marie Helene Pereira and Carlos Maria Romero aka Atabey to trace the many trails of unexpected, unusual, or unruly modes of learning.

A newcomer in Berlin, ARN4L2 aka Arnaldo Berdugo is a producer and DJ. He grew up surrounded by music, namely the vinyl treasures that his grandfather accumulated as director of a local radio station in San Estanislao de Kotska Bolívar, a Colombian Caribbean town with a large Afro-descendant population. In his productions ARN4L2 combines sonic traditions from the region such as bullerengue, chalupa, and porro with electronic elements such as synthesizers, samplers, and sound systems, resulting in a unique sound that reflects his own Caribbean vision with a strong African accent.
