Walter Ruttmann’s silent film from 1927 depicts a day in the life of Berlin. The city itself is the main character in this rhythmic montage of images with no plot or subtitles. The film is famous as the cinematic document par excellence of the New Objectivity movement. Bernd Wurzenrainer will be accompanying the showing on the Mighty Wurlitzer theatre organ.
