Musik und Klang haben am Bauhaus eine große Rolle gespielt! Es gab sogar eine eigene Band für Feste und Veranstaltungen. Einem ungewöhnlichen Instrument der Bauhaus-Kapelle widmet sich die bauhaus_werkstatt: der Kolbenflöte. Aus einfachen Materialien bauen wir im Geiste des Bauhauses Flöten und lassen die ersten Töne erklingen.

Bühne frei für alle, die sich kreativ oder künstlerisch mit dem Bauhaus, den 1920er-Jahren und der Moderne beschäftigen! Über unsere Social-Media-Kanäle haben wir Kreative und Kunstschaffende eingeladen, im Geist des Bauhauses und der Moderne einen Abend voller Klang, Sound, Musik, Sprache und Kreativität zu gestalten.

Can the story of the Bauhaus also be told with music and sound? That’s a question the Kubik Kollektiv has set out to answer. Musicians from such various backgrounds as electronic music, jazz, Krautrock, Alternative and film and theatre music have come together to translate Bauhaus themes into music – live on stage!

The Bauhaus is not just about industrial design, minimalism, glass and steel. In its early years, the Bauhaus was bright and colourful with snappy forms, wild and expressive – completely Expressionist and filled with a spirit of experiment. In the first chapter of our Open Stage we’ll see the expressive and experimental side of the Bauhaus.

Machine work and industry have been at the heart of the Bauhaus movementsince 1923. Technological innovations and ever more sophisticated machines are occupying our attention again today, too. In the second chapter of our Open Stage, man and machine come together in creative ways.

The Bauhaus is the epitome of the Modern Age, but what does "modern" actually mean? Is the art of the 1920s still as modern now as it was then? What does modern sound like now? In the final chapter, we dedicate our Open Stage to the spirit of the age!

To finish off the evening, we’ll have more music, celebrating all the participants of our Open Stage – and of course the Bauhaus itself!
